We know that you have what it takes to create great video game remixes. Now it's time to step it up to the next level and to test your mettle with original works.

remixSite Composition Combat is a competition to create the best original video game song that adheres to a specific theme, which will be announced on the day the challenge begins. Other than adhering to the theme, you have ultimate flexibility over your creation. There is no entry fee, you can submit live or synthesized music, the music can be as long or as short as you want, it can be in any genre, and you can use any instruments.

The community will vote upon and decide the winners themselves, so you'll know how your piece is received by gamers of all ages and backgrounds. We'll publicize the winning pieces to the community and to game companies, and even those songs that place a little lower will receive quite a bit of attention.

To register, just make a post in the registration thread at the VGMdb remixSite forums. Complete details and rules are available at the "rules and regulations" link in the menu bar. Keep visiting this page for updates as a logo is announced and the challenge approaches.
